Who knew that two little ears could cause so much trouble?

Chronicles of Jedidiah's ears:

  • Jan. 7th- Went for Jed's 4 month check-up and he had an ear infection in his right ear
    • Tx- 10 days of Amoxicillin
  • Jan. 12th- Ears clear
  • Feb. 1st- Double ear infection
    • Tx.-10 days of Omnicef
  • Feb. 19th- Second double ear infection
    • Tx.-Shot of Rocephin and 10 days of Omnicef
  • March 4th- Ears clear
  • March 10th- Third double ear infection (4th total)
    • Tx.- Another 10 days of Omnicef and a trip to the ENT
  • March 23rd- Consult with the ENT- Dr Klug
    • They did a test where they blew air into his ears to see if there was any fluid behind the ear drum
    • There was, and they recommended PE tubes (Big suprise)
  • March 25th- Surgery was scheduled for Monday March 28th @ 7:00 in the morning. We have to be there @ 6:15 and Jedidiah will have to be NPO after midnight. We will have one mad little boy on our hands since he won't get his 5:00 feeding.
All that to say...please pray for little man:
  • Pray that this situation will increase our faith and conform us in to the image of Jesus
  • Pray that the Lord will uphold Jedidiah by the word of his power
  • Pray that Joel and I will fight fear and anxiety by preaching the gospel to ourselves and each other.
  • Pray that the procedure will be quick and without complications
  • Pray that he will wake up easily from anethesia.
  • Pray that this will help all of us get a good night sleep ;)
This web site is really helpful if you you want to know anything about the procedure www.petube.org

26th Birthday

These are the things that made my 26th birthday GREAT:

  • Roses from Joel before we left town on Friday
  • Catfish dinner with the grandparents on Friday night followed by and fun game of Chicken Foot. (which I won)
  • Shopping all day with Mom and Lil man on Saturday. (Jed did SO good and even rode in the cart like a big boy)
  • Date with the Hubby on Saturday night at Red Lobster
  • Seeing Jed's smiling face in the morning and some early morning cuddles
  • HUGE breakfast on Sunday morning including breakfast cassarole, fresh fruit and bacon
  • Gospel of John bible study with my favorite GC ladies
  • Ending the day getting Happy Mexican to-go, eating it picnic style with my two favorite boys

I rest my weary soul in Thee

O Love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

O light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.

O Cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.

Coffee anyone?

I think we might have a barista on our hands

6 Months

This chunky monkey is 6 months old today!
  • I am 16 pounds and 7 ounces
  • I am 26.5 inches long
  • I take a 5 ounce bottle every 3.5-4 hours and still like to eat 1 or 2 times a night (that is going to end this week Lord willing)
  • I eat food 3 times a day, oatmeal and fruit in the morning, a veggie or fruit for lunch and a veggie and rice for dinner. Hoping to expand my variety soon
  • Mom made me homemade baby food, bananas, avacados and peaches. As you can see, I love it all!!
  • I can sit up on my own (most of the time)
  • I went to the doc today and my ears were CLEAR...for the first time in 8 weeks.
  • I love to play on the floor, especially with blocks and books and anything I put in my mouth.
  • I take three 1-2 hour naps a day
  • Mommy loves my sweet cheeks and kisses them all the time!
  • Daddy loves to make me laugh.
  • They are very thankful for the last 6 months and thank the Lord for me daily.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. (James 1:17 ESV)

    Wordle

    Wordle: John1:1-18

    At church we are beginning an inductive Bible Study of the Gospel of John. I was playing around on Wordle and this is the result of John 1:1-18. I think it's pretty cool and worshipful!
