Watermelon

According to What to Expect this is what size Jedidiah is...
 and I totally believe them!
  • So today I had my 36 week OB appointment....
  • Good news:
    • My blood pressure was great
    • My weight gain is right on track, even lost a pound this week
    • I am dilated 1 cm and she said his head was low
  • Bad news:
    • Jedidiah is destined to be,in the words of Dave Dacus, a GINOURMOUS baby
    • My fundal height measured a little low today, so Dr. Meste decided and ultrasound was needed to check my fluid level
    • His estimated weight at 36 weeks....drum roll please
      • 6 pounds 13oz!!!
      • That is bigger than I was at 40+ weeks( I was 6' 12)
      • What have I gotten myself into???
      • Please pray he comes early before he reaches 10 pounds

Showers of Blessing

" And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

God has definitely done far more than we could ever ask or think in providing for this lil guy. We are so overwhelmed and blessed by the kindness of our friends and family.

My first shower was in Little Rock with some sweet high school and college friends and family. It was great to see everyone and catch up. I can't wait for Jedidiah to travel back home and meet
everyone!

Next I had a shower at work. It was a Mexican potluck, which I absolutely loved. Papa Jay would be so proud!! I was glad it was a slow day so we could all hang out and eat the great food everyone had brought. I am so thankful for all the sweet girls I work with.

This last Saturday, I had my church shower. I cannot even describe how thankful I am for my church family. My favorite part of Grace showers is the prayer time. The ladies are so willing to serve Joel and I and to pray scripture over Jedidiah. Also, Joel's family traveled from Knoxville to come to the shower, it was a great surprise and we had a good time hanging out.

Again, Joel and I are so thankful for our family and friends who have showed us so much love in this exciting times in our lives. We are also thankful to Christ who has provided us with everything we need pertaining to life and godliness and who proves Himself sufficient in our lives over and over.
